Ty Bailie moved off the family hay farm in Mesa, Washington to the big city of Seattle in the spring of 2000 and quickly became the go-to B3 and keyboard player in town. Ty’s diverse talent and love of all things music has lead to him performing with a myriad of musical icons including: Steve Cropper (Booker T and the MGs), Kenny Burrell, Peter Frampton, Robbie Robertson (Bob Dylan, the Band), Wanda Jackson, Duff McKeagan (Guns N’ Roses), Mike McCready (Pearl Jam), Ann Wilson (Heart), Ace Frehley (KISS), Counting Crows, Davy Knowles and Back Door Slam, and with members of Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Yes, Tool, Mudhoney, the Fastbacks, Presidents of the United States of America, The Posies, the Screaming Trees, and Truly.
A founding member of the award-winning progressive jazz duo Ego Band USA and indie rock band Dept. of Energy, Ty also managed to be very active member of Seattle’s dynamic jazz community while being a highly in-demand touring and recording artist.
A los Angeles resident as of 2013, Ty immediately established himself as an exciting new B3 player and first-class keyboardist on the scene and is thrilled to find himself playing with Heaven & Earth.
